The Okaikwei Central Constituency Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in collaboration with the Parliamentary Candidate, Hon Baba Sadiq, spread Valentine’s Day joy to vulnerable widows in the community on February 14th, 2024.
They distributed essential food items and clothing, bringing smiles to the faces of these women in need.
Spearheaded by Constituency Women’s Organizer Madam Lydia Angel Nutakor and her deputy, Madam Salomey Ayitefio, the initiative received strong support from Hon Baba Sadiq, demonstrating their shared commitment to community service.
An impressive turnout of internal delegations, including Chairman Kwame Zancoh, Vice Osmanu Seidu, Secretary Ebenezer Potakey, and various Constituency Executives, also contributed to the event’s success.
Ward Coordinators were also present to witness the occasion, further illustrating the collective effort of the party’s leadership in this charitable endeavor.
The event attracted notable external guests, including Hon Oboubia Darko-Poku, Hon Sophia Ackuaku MP, Hon Elorm, Hon Hedodzi Tamakloe, Regional Women’s Organizer Madam Felicia, Deputy Regional Women’s Organizer Madam Jessica, Her Excellency Madam Stokes, and Chief Alhaji Suley Sobgo 1, among others.

In her remarks, Madam Lydia Angel Nutakor expressed her gratitude to Hon Baba Sadiq for his unwavering support and to all who contributed to the success of the event.
“Today, we have demonstrated that Valentine’s Day is not only a celebration of love but also an opportunity to extend our compassion and support to the most vulnerable among us, the widows and others,” she said.
