The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has assured Ghanaians that the NDC government is steadily delivering on its key development pledges, describing progress on the ground as evidence that the party’s transformative agenda is taking firm shape.
Touring Ketu South, Keta, Anloga, and neighbouring districts in the Volta Region, Mr Asiedu Nketiah received an electrifying welcome from thousands of enthusiastic supporters who thronged community centres and streets to interact with him.

According to him, the NDC’s national development vision goes beyond rhetoric, focusing on inclusive growth, job creation, improved infrastructure, and expanded opportunities for the youth, noting that several initiatives are already underway across the country.
“Our commitment to the people is not about words but results. While some of our promises are long-term in nature, others are already being executed — a clear demonstration that the NDC delivers on its word,” the party chairman declared.
Mr Asiedu Nketiah explained that the tour was part of a broader strategy to reconnect with the grassroots, evaluate progress on projects, and ensure that local priorities directly inform the party’s policy direction.
He emphasized that maintaining close contact with the people remains a defining feature of the NDC’s leadership philosophy.
“We are back to the communities to listen, to learn, and to act. The NDC has always believed that real governance begins at the grassroots,” he said.
Across the Volta coastal districts, residents, youth groups, and opinion leaders hailed the tour as a sign of renewed accountability and responsiveness. Many expressed confidence that the visit would further accelerate ongoing development efforts in their areas.
The NDC Chairman reaffirmed that the government’s developmental programmes are being rolled out progressively, ensuring that every region benefits equitably from national resources.
“We are focused on a fair, transparent, and people-centred government that delivers opportunities for all Ghanaians,” he noted.
Mr Asiedu Nketiah called on citizens to continue supporting the NDC’s vision for a prosperous and united Ghana, pledging that the party would not relent in its mission to restore hope, dignity, and economic confidence.
“The NDC is walking the talk. We are working tirelessly to rebuild trust in leadership and to show that politics, when done right, can truly transform lives,” he concluded.
