Kennedy Agyapong, hopeful for the flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that employment creation will be the cornerstone of his presidency.
He emphasized that employment, not empty political rhetoric, will define his leadership if he is elected President of Ghana.
Mr. Agyapong made this statement during a campaign engagement with delegates in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday. He pointed out that Ghana’s current economic challenges, particularly the rising levels of youth unemployment, demand practical and results-oriented leadership focused on enterprise and productivity.
“My presidency will be centered on jobs. That is my priority,” he told the delegates.

The outspoken presidential aspirant stressed that his commitment to job creation is based on practical experience. He noted that he had created employment opportunities for thousands of Ghanaians through his private business ventures long before entering frontline politics.
“Even in my private capacity, I have employed thousands of Ghanaians. I didn’t wait to become President to create jobs. If I am allowed to lead this country, job creation will not just be a promise; it will be a continuation of what I am already doing,” he stated.
Mr. Agyapong argued that Ghana needs a leader with proven business acumen, someone who understands how jobs are created, sustained, and expanded, rather than leadership driven solely by policy statements and speeches.
He outlined a vision focused on empowering local industries, supporting entrepreneurs, and creating an enabling business environment capable of absorbing the growing labor force in the country.
“Ghanaians are hardworking. What they need is opportunity. Give me the power, and I will provide you with jobs,” he added.
The NPP flagbearer hopeful reiterated that his campaign will continue to emphasize economic empowerment, productivity, and job creation. He assured delegates that his leadership philosophy is built on accountability and measurable outcomes.
Mr. Agyapong is currently touring constituencies nationwide as he seeks the mandate of party delegates ahead of the upcoming NPP presidential primaries.
