Lamine Yamal continues to etch his name into Barcelona’s history books after producing another sensational performance in their 3-0 victory over Mallorca at the Camp Nou.
The teenage sensation scored a stunning goal to take his tally to 40 goals in 136 first-team appearances, achieving the feat at just 18 years old and further underlining his rapid rise in European football.
According to Opta statistics, Yamal has now registered 24 goals in 92 LaLiga matches, making him the most prolific player under the age of 19 in Europe’s top five leagues in the 21st century. He has overtaken French superstar Kylian Mbappé, who previously held the record with 23 goals at the same age.

The winger has enjoyed an outstanding campaign so far, contributing 15 goals and 13 assists in all competitions, and playing a key role in driving Barcelona’s attacking play with both creativity and clinical finishing.
Yamal’s impressive form shows no signs of slowing down, with goals in each of his last three league matches, as well as strikes in the Champions League against Copenhagen and in the Copa del Rey clash with Albacete.
Only Ferran Torres, who has netted 16 goals, has scored more than the young star for Barcelona this season, highlighting just how vital Yamal has become to manager Hansi Flick’s attacking setup.
