A thanksgiving service has been held for Samuel Amadu Basintale, Comptroller-General of Ghana Immigration Service.

Preaching the sermon, Rev Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana who is also Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ghana Immigration Service called on leaders to choose the path of servanthood to be able to transform the institutions they lead.

He admonished leaders to prioritize the needs of their followers, empower them to achieve their dreams while contributing their quota to build the organization or society they are called to serve.
He reminded the congregants that the best leadership model is servant leadership which was modelled by Jesus as mentioned in John 13.

Members of the Assemblies of God Executive Presbytery, District Pastors and the Chaplain of Ghana Immigration service assisted Rev Wengam to officiate the thanksgiving service.

Special prayers were offered for Mr. Basintale, the directorates and the entire institution of Ghana Immigration Service.
In response Mr Basintale thanked God for his elevation and Assemblies of God, Ghana for nurturing him to rise to this high position. The service was held at United Assembly of God, Achimota.
