National Chairman aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, has unveiled a formidable campaign leadership team ahead of the party’s internal elections, naming Joseph Osei-Owusu and Henry Quartey as key figures to steer his bid.
The announcement, made on April 3, 2026, signals a strategic push by the former Energy Minister to consolidate grassroots support and reposition the party for victory in the 2028 general elections.
At a high-energy meeting with a large pool of volunteers, Agyarko officially introduced his campaign leadership structure, appointing Henry Quartey as Campaign Manager and Joseph Osei-Owusu (Joe Wise) as Senior Campaign Advisor

Both men are seasoned political figures with extensive experience in governance and party organization.
Henry Quartey, a former Interior Minister and former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, is expected to oversee day-to-day campaign operations while Joe Wise, a former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and former MP for Bekwai, will provide strategic direction.
The selection of the two political heavyweights is widely seen as a deliberate move to strengthen grassroots mobilization within the party.
According to the campaign, their combined expertise in legislative affairs, executive governance, and party structures offers a significant advantage.
“Their track record in grassroots mobilization and deep understanding of party dynamics positions us strongly for victory,” the campaign noted.
The two appointees have expressed strong confidence in Agyarko’s leadership and vision for the NPP.
“We are fully aligned with Hon. Agyarko’s roadmap to rebuild, restructure, and rebrand the party for victory in 2028,” the campaign leadership emphasized.
The campaign is expected to play a key role in rallying support for the NPP’s broader objective of securing electoral victory for Mahamudu Bawumia in the next general elections.
While the top tier of the campaign has been announced, the team says a comprehensive list of additional members will be unveiled soon.
The expanded team is expected to comprise seasoned experts across key areas, including strategy, research, communications, and operations, who will work together to strengthen the campaign’s effectiveness and nationwide outreach.
The statement added that a full National Campaign Team will be officially inaugurated in due course.
