The Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs is Hon Ahmed Ibrahim. He is also a Member of Parliament for the good people of Banda in the Bono Region.
As part of President Mahama’s Resetting Agenda, the Government decided to merge or align some ministries.
His current ministry has two other ministries aligned or added to it.
I am sure the purpose is to ensure efficiency, save cost, and cut down the number of Ministries.

I am not a member of the government or the political party the Hon Minister belongs to, but I must state that he is an excellent Minister who is committed to actualizing the vision of the President.
He is an action -oriented Minister who moves from region to region, the various metropolitan, municipalities, and the districts to monitor their responsibilities. He was recently seen critiquing some appointees of the President who are not forcefully pushing the agenda of the President.
His encounter with the MCE of Ayawaso North was fruitful, as he made the residents happy because of the way and manner he urged the MCE and his management to make the needs of the people a topmost priority.
As a Minister in charge of Chieftaincy, he relates well and productively with them.
It must be noted that he has been able to increase their allowances, and this has somehow brought some joy and happiness to our traditional authorities.
As the custodians of our customs and traditions, he ensures that Chiefs are given their reverence and help to continue serving their people.
With the religious bodies, similar assistance, policy, reverence and the improvement of inter- faith unity among the three religious bodies in our country: Islam, Christianity and the Traditional Religions has been his priority.
The Minister relates well with the House of the People, Parliament.
He attends upon the House to answer questions and participate in the Legislative duties.
He is among the few Ministers who participate actively in the work of the House.
The Roads Minister is another regular attendee to the House.
Good planning.
It must be stressed that he had served as a Deputy Chief Whip and therefore in the leadership of the House.
It is in this vein that he reveres the House and is ready to respond to the calls of the House.
The media is one group that he respects and cherishes.
He understands the cardinal and the importance of the media in gathering, processing and disseminating information to the public.
He believes the media is an important partner to his success as a servant to the people.
He has the excellent traits of commitment, dedication, hard work, and discipline in his assigned roles as a Minister of State and a legislator.
Hon Ahmed, your commitment to ensure that the President actualizes his vision is commendable, and I can only urge you to continue with this fantastic leadership – servant act.
Ahmed Ibrahim is a staunch member and an elder of the Church of Pentecost.
He should not misconstrue otherwise.
Ghana is blessed with such a faithful and loyal servant.
Salaam, Shalom, Peace ✌️
Ahmed
The Servant
