Four Ghanaians arrested by the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) over an alleged attempt to export about four tonnes of cocaine from Ghana to France have been charged and arraigned before the High Court in Accra.
The accused persons are Desmond Koranteng Curiel, alias “Paul Kweku Yeboah” or “Biggs”; Musah Attah, alias “Kromo”; Kweku Otchere; and Jessica Hartog.
They appeared before the High Court in Accra on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, where they were charged with two offences relating to the alleged exportation of narcotic drugs.

The four accused have been remanded for four weeks and are expected to reappear before the court on October 13, 2026.
A fifth accused person, Dutch national Jos Leijdekkers, alias “Bolle Jos”, is currently at large.
The charges filed before the court on Wednesday include conspiracy to commit a crime, specifically the exportation of narcotic drugs without a licence issued by the Minister of Health.
They are also facing a substantive charge of exporting narcotic drugs.
The prosecution’s case is connected to the seizure of nearly 3.9 tonnes of cocaine by French customs authorities at the northern French port of Dunkirk on September 10, 2026.
The cocaine, reportedly worth about €225 million on the street, was allegedly concealed in a container carrying plastic waste that had arrived from Ghana.
Part of the consignment was reportedly destined for Antwerp in Belgium.
Following the seizure in France, NACOC announced the arrest of suspects in Ghana over their alleged involvement in the shipment.
The commission said the suspects were allegedly involved in representing and facilitating the activities of Dutch fugitive Jos Leijdekkers, popularly known as “Bolle Jos”, in Ghana.
NACOC subsequently intensified its investigations and began working with French authorities to obtain additional information concerning the seized cocaine shipment.
The collaboration was intended to assist Ghanaian investigators in tracing the alleged movement of the consignment from Ghana to France and identifying individuals who may have been involved.
The four Ghanaians are now before the High Court as investigations and legal proceedings continue.
