The Planning Committee for the 10th Triennial World Assemblies of God Congress has paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, as preparations intensify for the major international Christian gathering in Accra.
The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and Regional Superintendent of the Greater Accra East Region of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Andrews Nelson Awintia, used the visit to brief the Ga Mantse on the upcoming World Assemblies of God Congress and formally invite him to the event.
Rev. Awintia represented the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, during the engagement with the Ga Mantse.

The World Assemblies of God Congress is scheduled to take place in Accra from October 14 to 16, 2026, bringing together church leaders, ministers and delegates from more than 100 countries.
The 10th Triennial World Assemblies of God Fellowship Congress will be held under the theme, “Commissioned: One Mandate, Every Nation,” based on Matthew 28:18–20.
The three-day international gathering is expected to feature worship, leadership sessions, fellowship, and discussions on the mission of the Church and its contribution to communities around the world.
As part of the programme, activities will be held at the Independence Square during the day, while evening programmes will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The courtesy call on the Ga Mantse forms part of preparations by the organisers to engage key traditional and community stakeholders ahead of the arrival of international delegates.
The gathering is expected to place Accra at the centre of a major global Christian fellowship, with participants from across different regions expected to converge on the Ghanaian capital.
Meanwhile, Assemblies of God, Ghana, is set to hold a press conference today, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at its Head Office in Accra ahead of the World Assemblies of God Congress.
The General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, is expected to address the media and provide updates on preparations for the international event, including important information ahead of the arrival of delegates.
The World Assemblies of God Fellowship Congress will provide an opportunity for church leaders and members from different countries to strengthen fellowship, discuss the Church’s global mission, and explore ways of advancing its mandate across nations.
