The result gives Justin Kodua another term as the NPP’s General Secretary as the party elects new national executives to lead its affairs and oversee its reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Mr Kodua emerged victorious in a contest that attracted four candidates and was closely watched by delegates and supporters gathered at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Meanwhile, Abanga Fuseini Yakubu has been elected the NPP’s National Youth Organiser after winning a six-candidate contest.

Mr Abanga Fuseini secured 1,550 votes to emerge victorious.

He defeated Alfred Kumi Ababio, who polled 25 votes; Vera Oye Bram-Larbi, 44 votes; Michael Osei Boateng, 78 votes; Clement Opoku Gyamfi, 631 votes; and former Deputy National Youth Organiser Chris Lloyd Nii Kwei Asamoah, who secured 46 votes.

The elections formed part of the NPP’s National Delegates Conference, where delegates gathered to elect new national officers following the approval of proposed amendments to portions of the party’s constitution.

The conference brought together more than 7,000 delegates at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the election of the party’s national leadership.

Justin Kodua previously served as NPP General Secretary and has been central to the party’s organisational activities.

His re-election, alongside the election of the new national officers, is expected to shape the NPP’s internal organisation as the party works to strengthen its structures and prepare for the 2028 elections.
