According to police, the teenager managed to run approximately a block after being shot before collapsing. He was subsequently rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have launched a search for three men suspected of involvement in the fatal shooting. The suspects were reportedly last seen fleeing down Fulton Avenue, dressed in black clothing.

Two of the suspects were said to have been wearing surgical masks.

Surveillance footage reportedly captured an individual fleeing the scene in clothing matching the description provided by investigators. The person was seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and a face mask.

Meanwhile, the victim’s father, Thomas Frimpong, has disclosed that his son had previously complained about being bullied by some students at school.

In an interview with journalists, Thomas Frimpong said his son had moved from Ghana to the United States approximately a year ago.

He revealed that two students had been suspended for repeatedly bullying Javits.

However, authorities have not established any link between the reported bullying and the shooting, and no motive has been officially confirmed.

Police investigations are ongoing as officers work to identify and apprehend the three suspects.
