The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has categorically denied allegations of recent or ongoing recruitment activities and clarified that all hiring processes were concluded in October 2024.
In a press statement issued on Monday, the NHIA’s Chief Executive, Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye, dismissed the rumours and reaffirmed the authority’s dedication to fairness and transparency in its employment practices.
“We categorically refute claims of any ongoing recruitment exercises. All recruitment processes were finalized in October 2024, conducted in strict adherence to legal requirements, regulations, and best practices,” Dr. Aboagye said.
The NHIA assured the public of its continued commitment to upholding principles of transparency, fairness, and meritocracy in all its operations.
The NHIA also clarified that the appointment and confirmation of director-level positions fall under the jurisdiction of the Public Services Commission, not the Authority.
The NHIA’s role in such appointments is limited to communicating outcomes after receiving official reports.
“The authority has no involvement in the selection process for director-level appointments. We urge the public to disregard false claims or threats regarding last-minute recruitments,” Dr. Aboagye added.
The NHIA reassured the public of its dedication to integrity and professionalism in all operations and encouraged individuals with questions or concerns to reach out through official communication channels for clarification.
The announcement comes amid growing concerns about fraudulent recruitment schemes targeting job seekers.
