Dancehall artist Stonebwoy has taken aim at longtime rival Shatta Wale calling him a “trickster” and “a man with a big mouth.
During a fiery interview on Angel FM in Kumasi, he recounted a controversial GH¢5,000 cash giveaway incident and the reasons for his attack.
Stonebwoy revealed that Shatta Wale, during an appearance on Fakye TV, allegedly staged a cash stunt involving MC Portfolio. He described the act as “gimmicks” and “settings” orchestrated to grab attention.
“Don’t you know the tricks of this man? This trickster? This settings man?” Stonebwoy said, directing his comments at Wale. He set him [MC Portfolio] up with GH¢5,000. He’s keeping tons of five cedi notes in his room, so he thinks he has money,” he stated.
Feud with Shatta Wale
The artist contrasted Wale’s actions with his financial standing, emphasizing his ability to be genuinely generous.
“He met him [Portfolio] and wanted to intimidate him with five cedi notes. Ask him, how many times have I promised to give him stuff? How much is GH¢5,000? By God’s grace, I have more than GH¢5,000 to offer,” Stonebwoy declared.
Stonebwoy also addressed his approach to public controversies, explaining his choice to stay out of disputes.
He dismissed any notion that his silence signified fear, instead describing it as a mark of maturity.
“Do you guys think we are scared to speak up,” he challenged.
The Dancehall scene braces for the potential fallout from these sharp comments as the rivalry between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale reignites.
