Mahama nominates 13 deputy ministers for Parliamentary approval

President John Dramani Mahama has put forward 13 nominees for deputy ministerial positions, awaiting confirmation by Parliament.

The selections cover key ministries, aiming to bolster his administration with experienced leadership.

Among the nominees are Thomas Nyarko Ampem for Deputy Minister of Finance, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi for Interior, Ernest Brogya Genfi for Defence, Clement Abas Apaak for Education, and John Kofi Setor Dumelo for Food and Agriculture.

Other notable appointments include Justice Srem-Sai for the Attorney General’s office, Richard Gyan-Mensah for Energy & Green Transition, and Samson Ahi for Trade, Agribusiness & Industry.

Additionally, Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba has been nominated as Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms.

Parliament will now vet the nominees before they can formally assume their roles.
