President John Dramani Mahama has named Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohunu the new Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
This decision follows the tenure of COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, who was appointed under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the appointment aligns with Articles 91 and 202 of the 1992 Constitution and was made in consultation with the Council of State.
