The 2025 Christian Home Week (CHW) Celebrations have officially been launched with the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, unveiled as this year’s Ambassador.
In his address at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Kuku Hill, Osu, Hon. Boamah delivered a compelling call for the intentional building of strong, value-driven homes across the country.
He underscored the urgent need to reinforce the fabric of Ghanaian society by nurturing families and marriages rooted in faith and purpose.
Quoting Proverbs 22:6—“Train up a child in the way he should go…”—the MP stressed that parenting is not merely a personal duty but a spiritual investment in the nation’s future. “Homes grounded in faith, prayer, and the word of God raise children with character, direction, and enduring values,” he noted.
Boamah stressed the transformative role of stable homes in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
“Such homes become training grounds for future leaders—men and women who will carry these principles into every sphere of life,” he said.
Encouraging families to rediscover the deeper meaning of marriage, he stated, “The meaningful way to celebrate marriage is through purpose, lasting love, nurturing homes, and inspiring legacies.”
The Christian Home Week 2025 launch drew participation from Christian leaders, officials from the Registrar General’s Department, and representatives of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
The Christian Council of Ghana commended the partnership with Hon. Boamah, describing it as a strategic move to foster stronger family bonds and promote a culture of love, understanding, and mutual respect.
His appointment as Ambassador was seen as a recognition of his ongoing commitment to community welfare and philanthropy.
Koku Anyidoho, Chairperson for the occasion and Founder of the Atta Mills Institute, also delivered a thought-provoking message, reinforcing traditional values and citing biblical scripture to support the sanctity of marriage.
Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Fatima Alabo, rounded off the event with a passionate appeal to church leaders to prioritize marriage preparation.
“Marriage is a divine institution that must be celebrated with Christ at its centre,” she emphasized.
The 2025 CHW Celebrations are expected to continue with a series of family-focused events and educational campaigns aimed at uplifting homes across Ghana.
