Former President John Dramani Mahama will continue his nationwide “Thank You Tour” this week with scheduled visits to the Upper West and Greater Accra Regions on Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16, respectively.
The tour aims to express heartfelt appreciation to the Chiefs and people of the two regions for their overwhelming support for Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2024 general elections.

A statement from the Presidency indicates that President Mahama will address a grand durbar of Chiefs and residents at the Jubilee Park in Wa on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. The event is expected to draw traditional leaders, party supporters, and community members from across the region.
The day after, Friday, May 16, Mahama will host a similar durbar in Accra to thank the people of the Greater Accra Region for their continued trust and support.
The ongoing nationwide tour has already taken the President to the Volta, Western, Central, Upper East, and Northern Regions. Beyond expressing gratitude, the tour also serves as a platform for Mahama to engage directly with citizens, listen to their concerns, and reiterate his vision for inclusive development and national progress.
President Mahama has emphasized that this post-election engagement is not just ceremonial but part of a broader effort to foster unity, transparency, and a government that remains close to the people.
