The 2025 Artiste of the Year (AOTY) celebration was a night to remember, with King Promise delivering a stellar performance at the Ghana Music Awards night held on Friday, June 6, 2025.
Dubbed the ‘General’ by fans and peers alike, King Promise captivated the audience with a five-star showcase, as the music industry gathered to honour his major win at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). He walked away with four prestigious awards: Artiste of the Year, Album/EP of the Year, Best Afropop Song, and Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year.

In a heartfelt address on stage, King Promise, who holds a Business Administration degree from Central University, reflected on his musical journey, emphasizing that his motivation was never about money but pure passion.
“It’s very fulfilling to see people dance to my music. I didn’t start this for money—when I began, I wasn’t making a dollar or a cedi. I was just a schoolboy with a love for music,” shared the “Terminator” hitmaker.
He expressed deep gratitude to his parents for their unwavering support and acknowledged the hard work of his Legacy Life team.
“Honestly, when my name was announced, I sat frozen in my chair for five seconds, soaking in the moment and silently thanking God,” he added.
Looking ahead, King Promise revealed that he’s raising the bar even higher, working relentlessly as he sets his sights on global recognition.
