“Kenneth has always been resilient. But this has been very difficult; with the OSP choosing the period just before his surgery to declare a red alert on him,” the statement noted.

The family expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and prayers from friends, family, and religious leaders across the country and assured the former Minister remains strong and is committed to doing everything necessary to regain his health.

Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta’s health became a matter of public concern in recent weeks following reports of his diagnosis and the legal developments involving the Special Prosecutor.

The OSP declared him a fugitive of the law after failing to appear in person on June 2.
