Climate Communications and Local Governance-Africa (CCLG-Africa) has marked its 4th anniversary with a renewed pledge to deepen climate advocacy and promote sustainability efforts across the African continent.

Established in 2021, the organization has spent the past four years championing climate communication, building stakeholder capacity, and driving awareness among policymakers, civil society organizations (CSOs), and businesses.

In a statement issued to commemorate the anniversary, CCLG-Africa expressed gratitude to its partners, collaborators, Board and Executive Council members, and entire membership for their unwavering support and commitment toward the organization’s mission.

“We are proud of what we have accomplished in the past four years. Our commitment to climate justice, resilience, and sustainability remains stronger than ever. With the support of our dedicated stakeholders, we will continue to empower African communities to rise to the challenge of climate change,” said Kofi Don-Agor, President of CCLG-Africa.

A highlight of the organization’s journey has been the appointment of Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, as Chief Patron. His leadership and support have been described as instrumental in guiding CCLG-Africa’s strategic direction and influence.

As it looks to the future, CCLG-Africa reaffirmed its resolve to expand its advocacy, strengthen partnerships, and continue playing a key role in shaping Africa’s climate response.

CCLG-Africa has positioned itself as a leading voice in climate advocacy on the continent, focusing on effective communication strategies that bridge the gap between science, policy, and community action.
