Dr. Stephen Amoah, a member of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign strategy team, has declared that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will reclaim power in 2028 under the leadership of the former Assin Central legislator.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem programme, Dr. Amoah admitted that the NPP’s defeat in the 2024 general elections was a major setback but stressed that the party is already restructuring to bounce back stronger.

“After losing the elections, we are still in the process of re-configuring the party. We have admitted our defeat and are analysing why we lost, so we can make the necessary adjustments. The NPP will surely return to power in 2028 under Kennedy Agyapong,” he said.
He praised Mr. Agyapong’s integrity and contribution to national development, arguing that his clean record, devoid of corruption scandals, positions him as the right leader for Ghana.
According to him, Agyapong is the only aspirant with a grassroots-driven initiative designed to energise the party’s base ahead of the next polls.
“It’s not about propaganda; the NPP is better than the NDC. Kennedy Agyapong has no record of corruption and has personally contributed to Ghana’s development. What makes us think he cannot lead this country?” Dr. Amoah queried.
He stressed Agyapong’s “Grassroots and Welfare Policy” as a clear and practical plan that prioritises party activists and ordinary members, insisting that performance—not propaganda—will secure victory for the NPP in 2028.
