Warrant Officer Class One (WOI) Akea-Daboo Adombire David of the 37 Military Hospital has successfully led the refurbishment of an out-of-service ambulance, significantly improving the facility’s emergency response capabilities.
The Ghana Armed Forces announced the achievement in a post on its official X handle, highlighting the initiative as a demonstration of exceptional leadership and innovation within the medical unit.

WOI Akea-Daboo, who serves as In-Charge of the Emergency Response Unit, sought and secured approval from the Acting Deputy Chief of Staff, Medical (DCOS MED), and the Commander of the 37 Military Hospital, Brigadier General Evelyn Vivian Abraham-Kwabiah, before assembling a three-member technical team comprising a carpenter, sprayer, and mechanic.
The restored ambulance is expected to support both military personnel and civilians who rely on the 37 Military Hospital for critical care. The upgrade is seen as a significant improvement to the hospital’s fleet and overall emergency readiness.

According to the Ghana Armed Forces, “WOI Akea-Daboo’s leadership does not only demonstrate dedication but has also boosted the hospital’s emergency response capacity in a meaningful way.”
The ambulance has since been reintegrated into active service, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality emergency medical support.
