The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has used its Christmas and New Year message to reflect on its first year in government, highlighting efforts to restore public confidence, stabilise the economy and strengthen state institutions.

In a statement issued by the party’s National Secretariat on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for the mandate to govern and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering responsive, accountable and people-centred leadership.

According to the party, 2025 marked a year of decisive reforms focused on economic recovery, social protection, disciplined resource management and rebuilding trust in governance structures. These measures, the statement noted, were intended to lay a solid foundation for sustainable growth and improved national stability.

“This festive season marks a year since Ghanaians entrusted the NDC with the responsibility to govern. We recognise this trust and remain committed to translating our vision into meaningful improvements in the lives of citizens,” the statement read.

Looking ahead to 2026, the NDC outlined key priorities including deepened economic recovery, job creation with emphasis on youth employment, stronger public institutions and enhanced living standards across the country.

The party assured Ghanaians that it will continue to deliver results-oriented governance, maintain fiscal discipline, manage expectations responsibly and pursue policies aimed at improving livelihoods.

It further reiterated its commitment to accountable leadership and sustained efforts to stabilise the economy, signalling continued focus on national development and citizen well-being in the year ahead.
