The Management of Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon, has unleashed a fierce condemnation against lawyer and media personality Serwaa Amihere following her alleged shocking description of the prestigious institution as a “breeding ground for homosexuals.”
In a strongly worded official statement, PRESEC described the remarks as false, reckless, and deeply offensive, slamming them as an irresponsible generalization that unfairly tarnishes the reputation of its students and the school’s storied legacy.
The school emphasized its identity as a Presbyterian mission institution rooted in firm Christian principles, with an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, strict discipline, leadership training, and moral upbringing aligned with the doctrines of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and national laws.

“Any assertion to the contrary is a gross misrepresentation of who we are and what we stand for,” the management declared.
Stressing over eight decades of shaping young men of character and integrity, PRESEC pointed to its unmatched track record, including repeated triumphs in the National Science and Maths Quiz, as clear evidence of a culture built on intellectual rigour, teamwork, confidence, and responsible leadership – not the defamatory claims circulating online.
Management warned of the serious harm such statements inflict, noting they expose vulnerable students to ridicule, prejudice, stigma, and emotional distress while undermining public trust in one of Ghana’s most respected second-cycle schools.
PRESEC Legon made it crystal clear: it will not tolerate or normalize characterizations that stigmatize its students or erode the institution’s hard-earned integrity.
The school expressed appreciation to parents, alumni, current students, and the public for their unwavering support, reaffirming its dedication to safeguarding student dignity and upholding the high standards of excellence and character formation that define PRESEC.
“We remain steadfast in upholding our values, protecting the dignity of our students, and sustaining the standards of excellence and character formation for which PRESEC is known,” the statement stressed.
This development comes amid growing public backlash over the viral comments, with Serwaa Amihere reportedly issuing an apology to the PRESEC community.
