The National Homeownership Fund (NHF) has announced the National Homeownership Fair 2026, scheduled for March 4 and 5, 2026, at the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (Old Office) in Accra, starting at 9:30 a.m. each day.
The two-day event is expected to bring together key public and private sector players across Ghana’s housing value chain to promote practical solutions for affordable homeownership under the theme, “Building Ghana: One Home at a Time.”
The Fair will be headlined by Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, who will serve as Guest of Honour.
Also expected to attend as Special Guests are Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson and Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources Kenneth Gilbert Adjei.
Their presence, organisers say, reflects the government’s commitment to addressing Ghana’s housing deficit and strengthening access to homeownership.
According to the NHF, the Fair will provide a unique opportunity for prospective homeowners to interact directly with estate developers, financial institutions, regulators, and housing service providers.
Participants will benefit from exhibitions, advisory sessions, and panel discussions aimed at simplifying the homeownership process and improving access to mortgage financing.
“The Fair is designed to remove the barriers that discourage many Ghanaians from owning homes. It will empower citizens with information, connections, and practical pathways to homeownership,” organisers said.
The event will also showcase major government initiatives and private-sector collaborations focused on increasing housing supply, improving affordability, and strengthening Ghana’s mortgage market.
Industry experts are expected to discuss innovative financing models, regulatory reforms, and sustainable building practices that can drive long-term growth in the housing sector.
NHF officials believe these engagements will help bridge the gap between policy and practice in the real estate industry.
The National Homeownership Fund is a government-backed institution mandated to address challenges associated with homeownership in Ghana.
It focuses on expanding access to affordable housing through innovative financing options, with particular emphasis on supporting first-time homebuyers and low- to middle-income earners.
Through partnerships with banks, developers, and regulators, the Fund aims to make home ownership more attainable for ordinary Ghanaians.
Organisers have announced that participation in the National Homeownership Fair 2026 is free and open to the general public.
Prospective homeowners, developers, financiers, real estate professionals, and industry partners are encouraged to attend and explore opportunities within Ghana’s housing market.
“The Fair is for everyone who dreams of owning a home,” the NHF said. “No registration fee is required.”
With rising housing demand and affordability challenges across the country, the National Homeownership Fair 2026 is expected to play a critical role in shaping Ghana’s housing future.
By bringing together policymakers, financiers, and developers, the event aims to transform homeownership from a distant dream into a realistic goal for thousands of citizens.
