The agreements are expected to enhance collaboration between the two countries while opening new opportunities for technological and security partnerships.

Speaking after the meeting, President Mahama stressed the long-standing historical ties between Ghana and South Korea.

According to him, both countries share strong democratic traditions and a commitment to human rights, which have strengthened their cooperation on the international stage.

He noted that the two nations often align their positions on global issues within multilateral institutions such as the United Nations.

The Ghanaian leader also emphasised ongoing collaboration in agriculture and agribusiness, particularly through projects supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency.

These initiatives, he explained, are designed to boost rice production in Ghana and improve the country’s food security.

President Mahama further pointed to opportunities for increased investment through the African Continental Free Trade Area, whose secretariat is hosted in Accra.

He said this arrangement positions Ghana as a strategic hub for manufacturing and exports to the wider African market, creating attractive prospects for Korean businesses seeking entry into Africa.

President Mahama expressed confidence that Ghana’s natural and human resources, combined with South Korea’s technological innovation, would deepen the partnership between the two countries.

According to him, the collaboration will promote sustainable growth, innovation, and shared prosperity for both nations.
