The Ashanti Regional Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has honoured Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for Asawase, for his remarkable contributions to the party’s growth and influence in the region.
The citation was presented by a delegation led by Ashanti Regional Chairman, Augustus Andrews, who praised Muntaka as one of the most effective Interior Ministers Ghana has produced.

According to the delegation, his tenure has been marked by strategic reforms focused on enhancing transparency, strengthening logistics for security agencies, and deepening good governance.
They further noted that his leadership has significantly boosted confidence in Ghana’s internal security architecture while reinforcing the NDC’s political presence in the Ashanti Region.
Receiving the honour, Alhaji Muntaka described the recognition as both humbling and inspiring, stressing that it reflects a collective commitment to building a just, secure, and prosperous nation.
He charged party communicators to uphold discipline, professionalism, and patriotism in projecting the party’s message.
“We must remain committed to defending Ghana’s national interest while supporting the vision of President John Dramani Mahama to reset the country, restore hope, and deliver development for all,” he stated.
The recognition forms part of the NDC’s broader strategy to celebrate dedicated leadership within its ranks while strengthening its vision for inclusive national development.
