President-Elect John Dramani Mahama has formed a dedicated anti-corruption team to lay the groundwork for his administration’s accountability agenda in a decisive move to fulfil his campaign promise of tackling corruption.
The team, chaired by Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, is tasked with receiving and gathering information from the public and other sources on suspected acts of corruption.
The ultimate aim is to recover the proceeds of corruption and hold responsible individuals accountable.
The five-member team includes the following notable individuals:
- Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Chairman
- Mr. Daniel Domelovo – Former Auditor-General
- COP (Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye
- Mr. Martin Kpebu – Private Legal Practitioner
- Mr. Raymond Archer – Investigative Journalist
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, spokesperson for the Mahama Transition Team, stated that the initiative forms a critical component of the President-Elect’s broader anti-corruption drive, codenamed “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL).
The campaign to recover stolen state resources and ensure accountability was central to Mr. Mahama’s 2024 election platform.
“This team is a preparatory step to ensure that H.E. John Mahama’s administration hits the ground running in addressing corruption and delivering on his promise of good governance,” Kwakye Ofosu added.
