Speaking at the NPP’s national headquarters in Accra after his win, Dr. Bawumia expressed gratitude to delegates, party executives, and supporters for their commitment to the democratic process.

Dr. Bawumia urged party members who supported other aspirants to set aside differences and work together for the greater good of the party.

“It does not matter which side you were on during the contest. What matters now is that we move forward as one family,” he stated.

He stressed that unity remains the party’s strongest asset in winning national elections.

“History has shown that when the NPP stands united, Ghanaians reward us at the polls,” he added.

The Vice President stressed the NPP’s long-standing tradition of rewarding loyalty, competence, and sacrifice through its internal elections.

“Our party has an enviable history of choosing leaders based on merit and service. This tradition must be protected,” he said.

He encouraged members to respect the decisions of delegates and uphold democratic values.

Dr. Bawumia announced plans to embark on nationwide consultations with party elders, executives, and grassroots members to strengthen internal cohesion.

“Every voice matters. Every opinion is important in building a stronger and more inclusive party,” he said.

He revealed that special attention would be given to members who felt sidelined or aggrieved during the primaries.

Touching on the role of young people, Dr. Bawumia described them as key drivers of the party’s future.

According to him, the energy of the youth keeps the party alive, and he pledged to invest in their development and participation.

He also pledged to restore discipline within party ranks to improve the party’s public image.

“Discipline in our conduct and communication will be central to our campaign going forward,” he stated.

Dr. Bawumia said his leadership would focus on rebuilding public confidence and presenting policies that address the needs of Ghanaians.

According to him, the task now is to reconnect with the people and offer solutions that improve their lives.

He expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the next general elections.

“With God on our side and unity in our hearts, we will return to power in 2028,” he declared.

The NPP flagbearer thanked his campaign team, Members of Parliament, party executives, volunteers, religious leaders, and the media for their support.

Dr. Bawumia advised supporters to celebrate responsibly and avoid actions that could deepen divisions within the party.

“Let us celebrate with humility and respect for one another. Everyone has won,” he emphasized, reaffirming his commitment to inclusive leadership.

“We will walk this journey together, and together, we will win,” he assured.
