US refuelling plane crashes in Iraq as Trump eases Russia oil sanctions

The US military confirms a refuelling plane went down over western Iraq, while saying neither hostile nor friendly fire was to blame

A statement says “rescue efforts are ongoing” after an incident involving two aircrafts, the second of which landed safely

The White House says it will grant countries a 30-day license to buy Russian oil that’s currently stranded at sea, despite sanctions, in an attempt to ease concerns about supply
