Speaking on behalf of Parliament, Mr. Bagbin expressed confidence in the Black Stars and urged the players to wear the national colours with pride and fight for every ball.

“From every constituency represented in Parliament and from every region of our beloved country, the message is the same: we believe in our Black Stars,” he said.

The Speaker encouraged the players to trust one another and remain resilient in difficult moments, reminding them that the Black Star has always symbolised pride, hope, excellence, and triumph against the odds.

“Do not be intimidated by the occasion. Embrace it. The World Cup stage belongs to those who dare to dream and those who dare to seize their moment,” he stressed.

Mr. Bagbin further urged the team to play with passion, confidence, and belief and to demonstrate the talent, discipline, and character that have earned Ghana respect on the global football stage.

According to him, all 34 million Ghanaians are solidly behind the team and are proud of their efforts.

“Go out there and exalt Ghana. Make history for yourselves and your country. May your efforts be crowned with success. May your teamwork inspire a generation. And may the Black Star shine brightly for the world to see tonight,” the Speaker said.

The Black Stars face Panama in their opening Group fixture, with millions of Ghanaians expected to rally behind the team in hopes of a strong start to their World Cup journey.
