Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has reportedly been shot by unidentified gunmen and is currently receiving medical attention.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday at the premises of Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, where supporters had gathered in connection with moves to install him as the successor to his late father and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Emeritus Kwadwo Safo.
Reports indicate that tensions escalated at the venue, prompting officers from the Dome District Police Command to intervene and restore calm.

According to accounts cited by the media, gunshots were fired during the disturbances, with Adwoa Safo’s vehicle allegedly coming under attack.
It is claimed that approximately 15 rounds of ammunition were discharged during the incident.
Sources close to the former legislator say one of the bullets grazed her neck, after which she was rushed to a medical facility for treatment. She is said to be in stable condition.
The incident comes against the backdrop of an ongoing dispute within the Kristo Asafo family over the succession to the leadership of the mission following the passing of Apostle Emeritus Kwadwo Safo.
The matter has already found its way to court, with some family members contesting attempts to install Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena as the next leader.
