Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez in a civil ceremony in Portugal, according to reports from Portuguese media.
The Cristiano Ronaldo wedding took place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in the coastal town of Cascais, near Lisbon, with the couple’s five children reportedly in attendance.
Ronaldo appeared to confirm the marriage on Instagram by posting an image showing two hands, believed to be his and Rodríguez’s, wearing wedding rings.

The Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez wedding marks a major milestone in their decade-long relationship.
The couple first met about 10 years ago at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working at the time. Ronaldo was then playing for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
They announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, when Rodríguez shared a photograph of a large diamond ring on social media.
Writing in Spanish, she announced: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”
Rodríguez has also played a major role in raising Ronaldo’s children, with the family currently based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The couple welcomed their first daughter together, Alana Martina, in 2017.
In April 2022, they welcomed twins, Bella and a baby boy. Their son was sadly stillborn.
The family now consists of Ronaldo, Rodríguez and their five children.
The Cristiano Ronaldo wedding comes after years of the couple publicly sharing their family life and relationship with millions of followers around the world.
Ronaldo, 41, remains one of the most decorated and recognisable footballers in history.
The Portuguese forward has scored nearly 1,000 career goals during a remarkable career that has taken him from Sporting in Lisbon to Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team.
He is currently captain of Portugal and recently featured at his sixth and final World Cup, a record number of appearances in the men’s tournament that he shares with Argentina superstar Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’Or five times, making him the second-most decorated player in the award’s history behind Messi, who has won it eight times.
Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in 2022 and remains a key figure for the Riyadh-based side.
The club confirmed last year that Ronaldo had signed a new two-year contract, keeping him at Al-Nassr until 2027.
His continued presence in Saudi Arabia means Ronaldo and Rodríguez are expected to remain based in Riyadh for the foreseeable future.
Ronaldo’s success extends beyond the football pitch.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index valued his net worth at approximately $1.4 billion (£1.04 billion) last year, making him the first football player to reach billionaire status according to the index.
His football achievements, commercial ventures and global brand have made Ronaldo one of the world’s most valuable sporting personalities.
With his marriage to Georgina Rodríguez now marking a new chapter in his personal life, the football superstar continues to attract enormous global attention both on and off the pitch.
