Members of the Parliamentary Press Corps (PPC) and the Defence Press Corps (DPC) enjoyed a day of fun and games at Burma Camp on Saturday 23rd December 2023.
The event, which marked the end of the year, featured a variety of games that brought out the fun-loving and competitive sides of the PPC and DPC members.
The games included ludo, the lemon race, an eating competition, the tug of peace, draft, and a football match.
The event also welcomed the families of the participants, who joined in the fun and cheered on their loved ones.
The event aimed to promote unity and friendship among the members of the two press corps, as well as to create a family-friendly atmosphere.
The participants had a blast playing the games, exchanging jokes, and showing off their talents.
The ludo boards witnessed fierce contests, the lemon race saw bursts of speed, and the eating competition challenged the participants’ appetites.
The highlight of the day was the “tug of peace,” a twist on the traditional tug of war, which symbolized the cooperation between the two press corps.
The friendly rivalry continued in the football match, which was played with passion and sportsmanship. Both teams impressed with their skills, demonstrating the harmony that exists beyond the press room.
The day ended with a delicious Kenkey, khebab, and drinks party.
The participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to bond in a different setting, strengthening the ties between the Parliamentary Press Corps and the Defence Press Corps.
The fun game at Burma Camp was not only a joyful way to celebrate the year, but also a reminder of the importance of camaraderie and collaboration among media professionals.
