2nd Deputy Minority Whip, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe, has taunted Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to stop ‘begging’ for a debate with former President John Dramani Mahama and instead focus on delivering an account of his promises to Ghanaians.
According to her, the Vice President has already ‘checked out’ and challenged him to own up to his shambolic record as he ended his tenure.
The Deputy Whip was addressing the media Tuesday, July 24 on the subtle campaign by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer to force a presidential debate from the NDC flagbearer John Mahama.
She stated, “If you have finished your tenure as the Vice President, go to the people of Ghana, not John Mahama, and tell them which promises you have delivered. If you have delivered, then congratulations to you. If not, we shame you.”
Hon Comfort Doyoe insinuated that the NPP flagbearer has already ‘checked out’ and must step aside and allow Mahama to take over.
She stated, “In all men, even when they have checked out, they won’t let you know and they begin to cause disturbances at home.”
“If you have checked out, then check out and leave us peacefully so that Mahama can continue his good work” she jeered the NPP flagbearer.”
“When you promised a dam in the north, did Mahama ask you to? You claimed it would deliver benefits that we are not seeing,” The Ada MP criticized Bawumia for his unfulfilled promises, especially those made to the northern regions stating.
