The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin has congratulated President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his decisive electoral victory in the recent presidential election.
He described the outcome as a strong endorsement of Mr. Mahama’s leadership and vision for Ghana.
The Speaker’s remarks followed the official declaration by the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Mrs. Jean Mensa, who announced Mr. Mahama as the winner of the 2024 elections.
In a statement issued by his office, Speaker Bagbin stated, “Today, we celebrate not just a victory but a reaffirmation of our democratic principles.”
“John Mahama’s win is an affirmation of the will of the people, and I am confident that he will lead Ghana towards greater prosperity and inclusivity.”
The Speaker also emphasized the need for national unity and urged all Ghanaians to support the President-elect in his quest to address the nation’s challenges.
“It is now our collective responsibility to rally behind him in the task of nation-building. Together, we can tackle the challenges ahead and work to ensure that every citizen feels the positive impact of good governance,” he added.
