Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to commence his nationwide electioneering campaign today, aiming for the presidency in the upcoming December 7, 2024, general elections.
The campaign will kick off in the Eastern Region and will cover all sixteen regions of Ghana over the next month.
Director of Communications for the Bawumia for President 2024 campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, disclosed that Dr. Bawumia’s tour is designed to engage with a broad spectrum of the Ghanaian electorate, including traditional leaders, clergy, youth groups, traders, drivers, farmers, students, and business owners.
Dr. Bawumia’s approach will be to conduct an issue-based campaign, presenting practical, tailor-made solutions to address the core concerns of the Ghanaian populace.
His itinerary includes engaging stakeholders through various formats such as media engagements, town hall meetings, and visits to key business hubs, allowing direct interaction with both traders and consumers.
This initial month-long campaign tour marks the beginning of Dr. Bawumia’s strategic efforts to connect with voters nationwide and reinforce his commitment to understanding and responding to the diverse needs of communities across Ghana.
