President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced the composition of his 2024 Transition Team, tasked with ensuring a seamless transfer of power from the outgoing government to the incoming administration.
The appointments were made in line with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845).
The Transition Team comprises experienced professionals from diverse fields, including finance, governance, and public administration.
A statement released by the President-elect’s spokesperson, Sammy Gyamfi, Esq indicated that the team will work closely with representatives of the outgoing government to ensure a smooth transfer of political power to the incoming administration.
The team will be co-chaired by Hon. Julius Debrah, a former Chief of Staff, with Dr. Callistus Mahama serving as Member/Secretary to the Transition Team.

Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho has been nominated as a member of the Transitional Advisory Council to provide strategic guidance to the team.
The team will immediately begin engagements with their counterparts from the outgoing government.
Among their key responsibilities will be gathering critical information about the state of the nation, briefing the incoming administration on ongoing projects, and preparing for the assumption of office on January 7, 2025.
