The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will open nominations for its national executive elections on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, ahead of the December 12 polls to elect new national officers.
In a statement issued on Friday, October 16, the party said nominations would open at 7:00 a.m. on October 20 and close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21.
The exercise follows the timetable outlined in an earlier notice issued on August 5, 2026, as the governing party prepares to elect its national leadership ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The NDC has urged prospective candidates seeking the various national executive positions to complete the nomination process within the stipulated period.
The party has also outlined payment procedures, directing aspirants to pay for nomination forms and filing through its online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, Mobile Money on all networks, or Visa and MasterCard.
It cautioned that it would not accept bank payments or bank drafts.
Under the eligibility requirements, aspirants, proposers, seconders, and endorsers must be party members in good standing and have paid their membership dues in full.
Members with outstanding dues have been directed to clear their arrears through *920*25# or the party’s official website, ndc.org.gh/dues.
The party has further called on all participants to uphold discipline and respect its democratic principles throughout the electoral process.
“The Party counts on the full cooperation and support of all members to ensure a transparent, peaceful, orderly and successful electoral process,” the statement said.
Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah signed the release on behalf of the General Secretary.
The December 12 elections are expected to shape the NDC’s national executive leadership and determine the team responsible for coordinating the party’s administration, organisation and preparations for the 2028 general elections.
