Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has been bestowed with the honorary title “Dakagili Naa” by His Royal Majesty Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, the Nba Wa Naa, and the people of Wa.
The revered title, symbolizing dependability, reliability, and wisdom, was conferred during a grand durbar in Wa, located in the Upper West Region.
The Speaker expressed gratitude to the Wa Naa, the chiefs, and the people of Wa for the distinguished honour.
He also extended appreciation to the Members and staff of the Parliament of Ghana, the media, students, and all supporters who graced the event.
The new Dakagili Naa reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Ghana with integrity.
“I will continue to work diligently to improve the lives of our citizens and uphold the values of our nation,” he pledged.
The event saw the presence of esteemed chiefs from various paramountcies, dignitaries, and members of the community.
