Former Member of Parliament and Minister of State, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has been dragged before the National Disciplinary Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for violating a strict party directive on media engagements.

An official statement from the party condemned Adwoa Safo’s recent remarks on Joy News’ Pulse Show, stating that she directly defied an order barring NPP members from discussing internal affairs in the media.

The directive, aimed at curbing statements that could incite division or discontent, was put in place to safeguard party unity.

The NPP underscored that, given her past role as Deputy Majority Leader and Minister of State, Adwoa Safo was expected to exemplify discipline, loyalty, and cohesion.

However, her public statements have been deemed a blatant violation of Article 3(5) of the party’s constitution, which mandates members to protect and uphold the NPP’s reputation.
