The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, engaged members of the clergy at a breakfast meeting held at the Abeka Presbyterian Church Saturday morning where he expressed appreciation for their spiritual support and updated them on key developments in the constituency.
The MP shared progress made in the areas of education, ICT training, and youth development and emphasized his commitment to human capital development, stating that several initiatives are already yielding positive results.
He said, “Around the schools, we’ve been focusing on ICT training. Just last week, we hosted about 300 students. It’s part of our effort to expose them to information and communication technology, and I’m happy to say many NGOs have partnered with us.”
Patrick Boamah also spoke about the successful launch of free vacation classes aimed at keeping students engaged during the school break.
“On Monday the 14th, we will start free vacation classes. It’s free of charge—just to keep them together and safe. We want to make sure their minds are on their books so we get the best results. And we are indeed seeing very good results,” he disclosed.
The MP noted that over 500 students have benefitted from the various educational programs rolled out in the constituency, underscoring the transformative impact of such initiatives.
“It’s a very smart thing to go around the campuses and see what these students are doing. My main focus will continue to be on human development,” he assured.
The clergy commended Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah for his proactive engagement and reaffirmed their support through prayers and community collaboration.
There were collective prayers for peace, unity, and continued development in the constituency and the nation at large at the end of the meeting.
