At the summit, President Mahama is expected to participate in a high-level discussion on green industrialisation and energy transition.

The session will examine practical strategies to accelerate Africa’s industrial growth while helping countries respond effectively to climate change and the global shift toward clean energy.

The discussions align with Ghana’s broader agenda to promote sustainable industrialisation and energy transformation.

President Mahama will also take part in a working lunch on reforming the international financial architecture.

The dialogue is expected to address ways to improve African countries’ access to sustainable financing and make the global financial system more equitable and responsive to the continent’s development aspirations.

As African Union Champion for African Financial Institutions, President Mahama has consistently advocated stronger financial structures to support Africa’s long-term economic independence.

The President is further scheduled to co-chair a roundtable discussion on health under the theme, “Rethinking Global Health and Building Resilient National Health Systems.”

According to the Presidency, the session forms part of Ghana’s Accra Reset Initiative, which seeks to strengthen healthcare systems and improve preparedness for future public health emergencies.

On the sidelines of the summit, President Mahama is expected to hold strategic bilateral meetings with António Guterres, Kristalina Georgieva and Alvaro Lario.

These engagements will focus on global cooperation, economic stability, and food security in Ghana and across Africa.
