The Minority in Parliament has demanded answers regarding the whereabouts of former Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Chief Executive, Sedina Tamakloe Attionu, following her extradition from the United States to Ghana to serve a 10-year prison sentence.
The issue was raised on the floor of Parliament on Friday during proceedings on a motion for the House to adjourn.
Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency, Isaac Boamah-Nyarko, questioned the Speaker over the former MASLOC boss’s whereabouts and whether state authorities could account for her current location.

“Where is Sedina Attionu?” the Effia legislator asked, urging the government to provide clarity on the matter amid growing public interest.
Deputy Speaker, Bernard Ahiafor, who presided over the House, however, halted the Effa MP in his tracks and demanded he second the motion without theatrics.
The Speaker subsequently directed the Hansard department to remove all reference to the former MASLOC boss from the day’s record.
Attionu was convicted in absentia over her role in a financial loss to the state case linked to her tenure at MASLOC. She was handed a 10-year custodial sentence and ordered to pay a financial penalty after being found guilty on multiple charges, including causing financial loss to the state and stealing.
The Minority have mounted pressure on the government and intensified calls for transparency and official communication from the relevant state institutions regarding the status and location of the former MASLOC chief.
