Assemblies of God Ghana Ministers’ Wives Association calls on Gender Minister

The Ministers’ Wives Association of Assemblies of God, Ghana, led by its National President, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey.

The visit was to congratulate Dr. Lartey on her elevation, offer prayers, and engage her on national issues affecting women, children, and vulnerable groups. Dr. Lartey is a member of the Assemblies of God, Ghana.

Speaking during the visit, Lady Mrs. Wengam, who is also the wife of the church’s General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, praised the Gender Minister for serving as a role model for women.

She commended Dr. Lartey for consistently exhibiting humility, modesty, diligence, integrity, and excellence in public service.

Lady Mrs. Wengam applauded Dr. Lartey for her performance as a Member of Parliament and Minister of State, encouraging her to remain firmly rooted in Christ as she carries out her national duties.

Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit and prayers. She called on the church and faith-based organisations to partner government in the fight against abuse of women, children, and other vulnerable persons in society.

The visit ended with the presentation of souvenir gifts to the Gender Minister by the National President of the Association.
