The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has announced new times for its daily local gold price announcements, effective Monday, October 26, 2026 — 10:30 a.m. for the morning update and 3 p.m. for the afternoon. The change keeps gold buyers and industry stakeholders better informed.

The adjustment follows the end of British Summer Time in the United Kingdom, which changes the time difference between Ghana and London and affects the timing of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) gold price benchmarks.

In a compliance notice dated October 25, GoldBod directed all licensed dealers to take note of the revised schedule and adjust their operations accordingly.

Under the new arrangement, the LBMA Gold Price AM benchmark will be reflected in GoldBod’s local pricing announcement at 10:30 a.m. Ghana time, instead of 9:30 a.m. The afternoon announcement will also move from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The revised GoldBod gold pricing schedule will remain in effect until March 27, 2027.

GoldBod said the change is intended to align its local gold price announcements with the adjusted timing of the international benchmarks used in determining local gold prices.

The Board explained that the adjustment affects the timing of the applicable international pricing benchmarks and the corresponding local price announcements, rather than the rules governing gold purchases and pricing.

Licensed gold dealers are therefore expected to align their transaction schedules with the new announcement times while continuing to comply with existing trading procedures and requirements.

The directive applies to licensed dealers undertaking gold purchase transactions during the period from October 26, 2026, to March 27, 2027.

GoldBod has indicated that the previous announcement schedule will resume on Sunday, March 28, 2027, following the United Kingdom’s return to British Summer Time.

Until then, the morning local gold price announcement will be made at 10:30 a.m., while the afternoon announcement will take place at 3 p.m. Ghana time.

The Board also indicated that it would provide further operational guidance where necessary.

The change is particularly relevant to licensed gold dealers who rely on GoldBod’s daily local prices to guide their gold purchase transactions.

GoldBod has directed all licensed buyers to observe the revised timetable throughout the specified period, while maintaining compliance with existing requirements for local gold pricing and purchases.
