The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC) has announced the completion of the final delegates register ahead of the party’s National Annual Delegates Conference and national officers elections scheduled for October 3, 2026.
The elections will be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, with preparations continuing under the supervision of the NOEC.
In a press statement issued after its final engagement with aspirants and their representatives, the committee said the final delegates register would be available for collection by aspirants or their authorised representatives from Thursday, September 17.

The committee said the completion of the delegates register marked another significant milestone in preparations for the elections.
Eeligibility
The NOEC has also established an online verification facility to enable delegates to confirm their eligibility ahead of the conference.
According to the committee, delegates can visit the NPP’s official website and select the “Verification” option. They will then be required to enter their phone number or voter ID number to receive a One-Time Password (OTP).
After entering the OTP, delegates will be able to check whether their details appear on the party’s records.
The committee encouraged all delegates to complete the verification process well ahead of the conference to resolve any issues before election day.
Voting arrangements
The NOEC has clarified several voting arrangements for the national officers’ elections.
All eligible youth delegates will vote in the election of the National Youth Organiser in addition to the other elections in which they are entitled to participate.
Similarly, all eligible female delegates will participate in the election of the National Women’s Organiser alongside the other elections for which they qualify.
For the election of the three National Vice-Chairpersons, each delegate will be required to select three aspirants.
The committee said the tally system would be used to count votes in that election, with detailed voting instructions to be communicated to delegates before voting begins.
Proxy voting
The NOEC has also confirmed that proxy voting will be permitted during the elections.
A Proxy Voting Framework has been developed to guide eligibility, applications, verification, approval and the exercise of proxy votes.
The committee said it would directly oversee the administration and implementation of the framework, with assistance from its Secretariat.
The final proxy delegates register is expected to be published on September 27, 2026.
Delegates seeking to use the proxy arrangement have been urged to comply with the applicable guidelines and deadlines.
The elections will be conducted by the Electoral Commission of Ghana under the supervision of the NOEC.
The committee said it is working with the Electoral Commission and the Ghana Police Service on arrangements aimed at ensuring an orderly, secure and transparent electoral process.
Conference and media arrangements
According to the NOEC, delegates are expected to arrive in Kumasi on Friday evening, October 2, and proceed to their assigned accommodation facilities.
The conference will officially commence at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3.
The committee has also reminded journalists and bloggers intending to cover the conference that accreditation is required.
Applications for media accreditation must be submitted by September 21 through the NPP’s official website.
A Media Village will also be established at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for accredited media houses that wish to set up studios for pre-event and post-event coverage.
Requests for Media Village space must be submitted by Friday, September 18.
For security and operational reasons, media houses will not be permitted to access the inner perimeter of the stadium.
The party’s dedicated production team will instead provide an official broadcast feed to broadcast houses for live transmission and use.
Appeals for cooperation
The committee stressed the need for candidates to ensure that their agents, supporters and delegates comply with the electoral, accreditation and security arrangements.
