The convoy of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the vice-presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was attacked on the Akosombo-Accra highway.
The incident occurred between Akuse and Kpong when a Police outrider, allegedly leading a convoy of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters, reportedly smashed the windscreen of one of the vehicles in Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s convoy.
According to the driver of the damaged vehicle, there is a strong suspicion that the other convoy belonged to the NPP.
The attack happened as the convoy of the NDC running mate was returning to Accra after a two-day campaign tour of the Oti Region.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident.
