The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has directed all heads of government institutions to submit comprehensive records of employees added to their payrolls since December 7, 2024.
This directive aims to promote transparency and integrity in managing government payroll systems.
In a memo issued to the institutions, the Chief of Staff outlined the specific details required for each newly added staff member, including:
- Full Name
- Designation/Job Title
- Employee Identification Number (if applicable)
- Date of Appointment
- Date Added to Payroll
Government institutions have until January 31, 2025, to comply with this directive. The Chief of Staff emphasized the importance of this exercise, stating, “This information is critical to maintaining transparency and accountability in our payroll management processes.”
This initiative forms part of the broader efforts by the Mahama-led administration to streamline government operations and ensure the appropriate allocation of public funds.
