The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, has donated 1,000 packs of bottled water along with a monetary contribution to the Christian Council of Ghana in support of Easter festivities in a heartwarming gesture of faith and generosity.

The donation, made on Tuesday, April 15, was received during a brief but meaningful ceremony in Accra.

The event underscored the MP’s deep-rooted commitment to faith-based initiatives and the Christian community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Boamah indicated the donation was his personal way of honouring the Holy Week and supporting the array of spiritual activities lined up — including church services, conventions, and Easter Monday gatherings.

“So I decided to come and donate 1,000 boxes of water and a modest token to support the World Ecclesiastical System,” he said, expressing his dedication to promoting religious unity and celebration.

Receiving the donation, Rt. Rev. Dr. Hilliard Dogbe, Chairman of the Christian Council, praised the MP’s enduring support and unwavering faith.

“We’ve had the blessing of encountering you on several occasions, and your faith is unquestionable. Scripture tells us: ‘Blessed is the hand that gives and the hand that takes.’ Your act of kindness is deeply appreciated,” Dr. Dogbe said.

He offered heartfelt blessings to Hon. Patrick Boamah stating, “Water will never run dry in your land, food will never be scarce. May God’s grace and peace dwell with you, and may all your dreams be fulfilled.”

Hon. Boamah, visibly touched by the warm words, reiterated his dedication to uplifting communities through faith-based support.

The Secretary for Programmes at The Salvation Army Ghana, Lt. Col. Justice Isaac Incoom, in his remarks hailed the donation as unprecedented.

He said, “This is historic. We often see similar support during Muslim fasts, but rarely during Christian observances. Hon. Boamah has set a remarkable example.”

He urged other leaders to follow suit, encouraging greater inclusion and support for Christian events.

“As you’ve started, we pray others will follow. Let ministers and MPs remember the Christian community too, so everyone feels truly embraced.”

The Christian Council lauded the OKC MP’s thoughtful gesture as a shining example of faith in action and leadership with heart.
